At the end of a 24 hour fast, I decided to ‘break fast’ with this saucy little dish. I’ve lost nearly 8kg in a month now, by fasting, boxing and eating sensibly. Hoping this might help someone. Mind you, not everyone piles in 20kg and then has to lose it again I suppose … but I’m aiming to be more ‘yo’ than ‘yo yo’ this time, so, when I’ve lost it, the trick will be keeping it off, in a way that ensures life is still fun!

I’ve discovered a brilliant boxing club near my home in Muyenga, and a fantastic coach, James Opio, who also coaches kickboxing and MMA.. he’s multi talented and he’s a very decent guy too. Leave a comment or DM me if you’d like to try out the gym in a group or a one on one class. James and his team can coach people at any level from beginner through to advanced. James is an entirely self made man, on a mission to the top, with an MMA African title in his sights. Because he’s such a hardworking and industrious guy, it’s been a pleasure to loan him some Make Boxing Great Again quality punch bags, and I’m also trying help him get more clients, so we can increase the size of the boxing club into the unit next door. This is a a classic community boxing club, and the local kids benefit from free classes and tuition too - and James is a massive inspiration to them!
